Frederick, born and raised in Germany, is professor of German at ODU. His spare time activities include fund raising for cancer research, enjoying his garden, and spending time with his wife and daughter. He is also a gypsy scholar who loves to travel, having given hundreds of presentations in over twenty countries around the world.
